The enzymes in the Green Irene Kitchen Cleaner break down fats, oils, grease and kitchen grime. It safely cleans all your kitchen surfaces including your greasy stovetop, countertops, granite, marble, soapstone, appliances, laminate and porcelain surfaces. Even spray it in the garbage can (remember enzymes help eliminate, not just mask, odors). One packet makes 16 oz.

Start with one of our empty bottles and a 1 oz concentrate packet to make 16 oz of our Kitchen Cleaner. Then just buy more packets when you need to refill the bottle. Our packet refill system means that there’s less packaging waste and less water being shipped to you.

Use: Spray and wipe, scrub or soak for stubborn or old stains.

I’ve been trying a few of them out and I’m very pleased. Lucky for me, the stainless steel cleaner works fabulously! The cleaner is easy to use with a microfiber cloth, and my stainless steel appliances look wonderful. I’m also very thrilled with the kitchen cleaner and how my granite counter tops shine. I’m happy the cleaners don’t have a gross fake smell because to me clean doesn’t have smell. The greatest part (besides the safe and non-toxic part) is the refillable bottles! No need to create more waste and buy new cleaners in new plastic bottles, just purchase the 1 oz concentrate products and refill as needed with your Green Irene Bottle and H20!

One of the areas that needs constant cleaning in my kitchen is the stove top. Between pasta sauce, grease spatter, and spices the stove top is a constant battle. It's nice to have a cleaner that I can use to quickly clean it up with. I sprayed the kitchen cleaner on the stove then wiped it clean with no problems. Of course, it's great on the counters too.

Right away I noticed the citrus scent that wasn’t too overpowering or fake smelling. It tore through the dirt on my counter tops from me standing on them to paint, and did very well cleaning stove splatters.

First, this is scented with wild berry essential oil and smells so very lovely. I sprayed all of my counter tops, the stove top, front of my dishwasher, and even the wooden cupboard doors. It cleaned very nicely leaving no smears or film behind, only a really nice and clean scent.

Well, there was the lovely job the floor cleaner did on my kitchen floor, but here's what REALLY sold me. I have very old kitchen cabinets that, I confess, have greasy spots on the portion above the stove. This area of grease preceded my living in the house, and since I've lived here I have periodically tried every cleaner I thought might help. Yes, I've even tried toxic caustic products such as ammonia. Even my willingness to forgo my toxic free convictions met with failure.

I decided I'd try Green Irene's enzyme based Kitchen Cleaner. It says it targets fats, oils and grease, and I loved the vision of little enzymes dissolving my grease once and for all. I emptied out the undissolved gel onto a cloth and spread it on the cabinet. I willed the little enzymes to eat away at the grease. I waited a few minutes and I wiped off a section. I had to check it a few times, could it be? Yes, it really, really took the years of grease off of my cabinet! Hence my personal tip - if you have a super tough cleaning job, try reducing the dilution amount. It worked for me!

  • Can I use the Kitchen Cleaner on my old kitchen cutting boards?

You can use the Kitchen Cleaner even on old stained and dirty-looking cutting boards. One spray application of the Kitchen Cleaner, a little scrub brush action, let it set for about 30 minutes, a final brush and rinse, and the result is a very new looking board (sorry, we can't do anything about the cut marks!)

  • How do I mix the cleaner?

Just one refill packet will make 16 oz of cleaner, so just cut open the packet along the recommended line and combine the entire 1 oz concentrate with 15 oz of tap water in the reusable sprayer bottle.

Tip to avoid foaming: When mixing the concentrate from the packets into the 16 oz spray bottle, put the water in first… leaving room for 1 oz concentrate. This will avoid the foam generated by adding water after the concentrate. If there is concern that you will fill too much water, simply fill three quarters water, then add concentrate, then top off. Either way avoids the foaming you get when you add water ON TOP of concentrate.

  • Is the Kitchen Cleaner good for glass cook tops?

Those glass cooktops, especially the black ones, have a reputation of being impossible to get really clean. Many cleaners just smear and streak the grease, or it takes lots of polishing and buffing. With the Green Irene Kitchen Cleaner, the grime and grease splatters break down and the surface is left streak free without nearly the time and effort of polishing. Baked on food may require an abrasive pad for a little elbow grease (no pun intended).

  • Will the Kitchen Cleaner help eliminate sink stains?

Use the Kitchen Cleaner daily to keep the sink clean and you'll see stains such as coffee stains diminish and after a few weeks of regular use, you'll see stains disappear. Plus, the garbage disposal odors disappear too.

  • Will the Kitchen Cleaner help with fruit juice stains on my Formica counters?

Formica is usually pretty forgiving but fruit stains do pose a cleaning challenge. If the Kitchen Cleaner is used promptly after the juice stain appears, the stain is gone almost instantly. If it sets a little longer, use an abrasive sponge pad and letting it "soak" for 10 minutes or so will successfully remove even these tough stains.

  • How does the Kitchen Cleaner work on refrigerator doors?

Heavy texture helps keep finger prints from showing, but makes cleaning much more difficult. For this application, we've found using Kitchen Cleaner with a well rinsed sponges is the right combination to get into all those nooks and crannies of a textured door. If your refrigerator doors are stainless steel, then you'll want to try our Stainless & Glass Cleaner for a streak-free clean. Once the outside is spotless, try the Kitchen Cleaner on the shelves and bins with a regular sponge and you'll have it looking new inside and out.

  • Can I use the Kitchen Cleaner on Kitchen Cabinets?

Yes, the Kitchen Cleaner can be used on cabinets. Green Irene Enzyme Cleaners, including the Kitchen cleaner, are safe for any surface that wouldn’t be damaged by water. The Enzyme Cleaners contain no harsh chemicals and are non-corrosive so they don’t harm finishes.
